For Fifty dollars you can become a member of Lincoln's Loft for one year. You will enjoy the many benifits that a membership entitles you to, as well as the satasfaction of knowing that your support encourages care and respect for our natural environment. Thank you very much.
Lincoln's Loft is a non-profit educational group of concerned citizens who want to learn more about local flora and fauna and facilitate more students of all ages going into the forests and learning how to care for and manage these valuable resources.
...and the story behind "Lincoln's Loft" is multifaceted...our family is related to Abraham Lincoln through my maternal grandmother, Clarene Lincoln Robertson (remember the 4 generation photo in my kitchen?)...my son Lincoln was born during president's week so we named him Lincoln to acknowledge his lineage...he, like all of my three children, loves the outdoors and all creatures ...since a young age when he first found a monarch chrysalis hatching under the threshold of the hen house... he's been dragging live critters home in his cargo pants pockets... I still must watch out before I do the laundry... There are several "loft's" on this property where Lincoln creates and dreams... and we hope to build a new one that is a sustainable building - all green :-) with a harvest kitchen and art studio...Thank you...Sincerely, Katherine

Please donate generously to Lincoln's Loft. Your donations will be used to promote the mission of Lincoln's Loft. All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Students from age 4 to 84 are invited to join us for our wildlife program featuring "TRIPBAMFS". Come learn how to play this educational game and help develop our Apiary, Aviary, and start seeds for our summer hummingbird, butterfly, and beetle habitats.
During the April break we will be taking our hike in Kennedy Park with the Barred Owls. Hikers will take turns carrying the "owl packs". We will set them down in a "regular" area for other birds to "mob" them in the open. "Mobbing" is when woodpeckers, warblers, and any birds in the canopy will come down to scold the owl. Students may start their "life" birding lists or add to them as we identify all our returning migrants.
Programs for February, March, and April Breaks are $250 per person M-F 9-3pm. Daily rates are $65 per day.
If you find an Animal who is injured, do not touch it. Call Katherine Vause: cell (413) 329-0173. Katherine will have information to help.
At Lincoln's Loft we are concerned with preserving this beautiful landscape, restoring native species and respecting all native flora, fauna and geological formations.

Please check out her website for more updates about her two new books. Also, please remember to check in with the Heritage Tavern about dinner seatings for 3pm or 5pm that Sunday afternoon (January 16th) for the Leskovitz Family. We have many intertesting animals in the Berkshires. At Lincoln's loft we enjoy meeting them and observing them in the wild.
We are so grateful for our many friends and families. Please come back soon and enjoy nature with us again. We miss you when we don't see you.
